Okay, I went to the web site, looked at it.

However, I'm not willing to give out my personal information without a little more information.

What is this great opportunity?

What do I have to do?

What does it cost in either time or money?

Why do you need information about me before you tell me how lucky I am?

These are things I'd like to know before I share my information with you.

Bob

Well said Bob.
Also the curious things are they never actually tell you what the company is called. With a listing on the stock exchange and all one would think they were not so reluctant to give out their names, looks like whoever put together the web page though got a fairly comprehensive list of financial publications, of course no links or articles are provided to back up any claims.

ha, bob and B. You think it's good now, it gets better the further into the site you venture!

Nowhere therein are you given access to any kind of privacy policy, terms of service, or a simple about page. Just a bunch of shady-sounding tidbits and testimonials that, quite frankly, are easy to forge.

and, the best part? It's predominantly flash-based. :D

Let me also point out that you're expected to shell out $50 to "get your business off the ground" without even so much as a link to an article in one of the myriad publications this company has supposedly graced with prose of glowing adoration.

Until I hear worthwhile evidence to the contrary, an appropriate title of this topic would be: "Scam, scam, scam!"

Not trying to be confrontational, just critical, given your policy of seeking personal information of others before presenting facts and the overall underhanded tone of the site.

Something strange about this website. Near the top it says:
Opportunity Flash: We are looking for NEW business associates near Nicosia, 04
I think they can tell with our IP address where we are and they give us cities near to where we are or something. Why especially Nicosia? Who knows Nicosia anyway concidering that this person is from North America and probably doesn't even know where Nicosia is? I would say this site is very dangerous but i am sure you guessed this already lol.

I am sorry that you think my site is dangerous if you would like a site that does not require personal information go to www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/wallacewoodard The name of the company is PrePaid Legal services. Our NYSE Stock symbol is ppd and our CEO Is a board member of the United States Chamber of Congress our product has been endorsed by six format attorney generals i am sorry my site doesn't offer links to the magazines we have been featured in. You are more than welcome to google the company If you want more information I would suggest Bob that You re-enter the bogus information you game me and go watch the movie that explains everything If you want my personal information My Name Is Wallace Kyle Woodard I am 23 Male and Live In Austin Texas This is not a scam it is a serious business opportunity If you would sign up for the membership or the business I wouldn't even get money from that that goes straight to prepaidlegal I am only an independant associate who gets paid commisions.

it's what's known as piramid selling.

the person at the top sells his product, i.e. his cd's and books and videoe's to people beneath him, they then in turn find more clients to tell to, and every person they sell to, they then earn commission, and so on.

except that the lower down the piramid you go, the less money you are likely to make.

it's not a scam as such, but it is dodgy as hell.

as for the website knowing where you are, that's actually quite simple technology, and lots of reputable websites use it as well.

but I still wouldn't touch this proposition with a barge pole.

Actually, you're almost correct, almost.
A pyramid scheme is such whereby one is for the most part instructed to convince others that getting more people to sign up is going to make them lots of money. The scheme begins with an additional product which down the road disappears and all that's left are people convincing more people to convince more people to sign up.
When you're actually convincing people to sign up and sell an actually product, this is called (mlm) multi level marketing. To keep it simple (mlm) will focus on the product itself, while pyramid schemes will try to stear you towards the idea that signing more people being most important. Pyramid schemes aren't almost scams, they are a scam, and they are illegal. However, MLM businesses are not illegal because they focus on selling an actual product, and client A can make just as much money as client X, just as long as they sell the same amount of products, get it?
Hope this helps.
